Dr. Adams provides a complete range of vision care services, specializing in pediatrics and vision therapy. She understands that comprehensive treatment includes the use of lenses, prisms and vision therapy to treat individuals experiencing vision difficulties.
Dr. Adams graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry. Her rotations included ocular pathology and vision therapy with emphasis on pediatrics and examining children with special needs. Dr. Adams served as the local and national liaison for the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She received her undergraduate degree from Jacksonville University (Florida) where she majored in biology and was a presidential scholar. Dr. Adams received her master’s degree from the University of North Florida where she was a presidential scholar and graduated cum laude.
Dr. Adams is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), the Optometric Extension Program (OEP), National Optometric Association (NOA) and the Illinois Optometric Association (IOA).
Dr. Adams is successful in treating children struggling in the classroom, adults experiencing computer vision syndrome, individuals with strabismus or amblyopia as well as children with attention deficit, PDD and autism.
